We are a now in the world of technology where it’s very hard for us to keep away from using technical gadgets or a computer. Most of us working and spend many hours staring on the computer screen. Not to forget, children also nowadays using computers during school hours and at home. When this happened extremely, it may strain your eyes and result in damaging your visualization.
What is CVS? CVS is also known as computer vision syndrome. It’s the latest medical terminology for persons who experience problems that are related to staring on the computer a lot. It’s an impermanent eye situation as a result of using the eyes too much on focusing a computer display for certain periods. Some of the symptom of this syndrome is hazy vision, dry eye, exhaustion, and some can be worsen by poor illumination.
Here are some of the basic tips that you can apply during your daily usage on the computer. These tips came from the Labor’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) in USA:
- Try to allocate your computer screen in a position where the display is a little beneath the eye level. By doing this, it can prevent you from bending the neck when viewing your computer screen.
- Avoid from reflections of overhead lamp and lights from outside become visible on your computer display.
- Adjust your distance between your vision and your monitor properly in order to see the computer display without leaning frontward.
- Utilize a document holder that point them the similar altitude and space as the computer display while doing task with the print documents.
It doesn’t matter whether you want to work with your computer for a long time but remember to look out for your health and not to pressure yourself out. Keep in mind, health is a top priority!
